Heaton news - WB 4th Sept

Welcome back everyone! We hope you had a wonderful summer break.

Firstly, we are glad to welcome our new year 7's (and their families) to Heaton school. They have all had an amazing week and it's been so good to see them enjoying meeting their new class and enjoying their learning. We also welcome a number of new staff that have joined our team - we will endeavour to get a photograph of all of them for next weeks blog!

Throughout the summer holiday our new sensory garden was constructed. The area now offers under cover space which can provide shade in good weather and shelter from the rain. It also has a sensory walkway, a raised sensory bed and a musical area. The great weather this week has meant that students have enjoyed accessing this new facility.

We will be having our first parental engagement session in our new wellbeing cafe on Wednesday 27th September 10am until 11:30am. This will be a webinar from Renaissance Legal discussing Planning for the Future - Wills & Trusts.  More information will follow on Dojo next week.  Breakfast will be included.
