This weeks blog theme is lifeskills. All our students get wide opportunites to develop skills that prepare them for adulthood. This can vary from specific lifeskill lessons to community lessons. Over the past few weeks Amalia's class have been experiencing their local community through going on the train to Stockport. They always enjoy this session as they learn how to present their passes and what processes they need to follow.
Students at Cheadle have been busy learning skills that prepare them for every day routines and life, such as ironing, vacuuming, emptying the bins and replacing them with new bin liners, cleaning windows, etc.
Once again we have been really fortunate to have the help from Men in Sheds. This week they have been building a new gate entrance to the School Forest school area. We are so grateful to them for the time they offer.
Next week we have plenty of exciting events taking place. For Mental Health Awareness week Students will be taking part in a variety of different well being activities and to celebrate Chinese New Year students will be learning about Chinese traditions through attending some workshops. We look forward to sharing pictures of these events.
