Heaton news - WB 27th June

Date: 30th Jun 2022 @ 4:56pm

Firstly, a big thankyou to all parents who attended this weeks parents evenings. Whilst the virtual option was preferred by many it was great to be able to offer the chance to meet some of you in person. Going forward into next year we are looking forward to providing wider opportunities for parents to come and see our school in action, so watch this space!

We always like to work closely with other Stockport special schools in the authority. This week Kyle's group visited Castle Hill to take part in a joint Forest school lesson. We hope to invite Castle Hill students to visit our school on a reciprocated visit very soon. The students had a great time and especially enjoyed meeting the newly acquired pet rat!!

Yasmin's class have been busy developing their independence skills through taking part in the breakfast club at the start of the day. They have been choosing what they want for breakfast, developing communication through the use of choosing boards, then following the instructions on how to prepare the food. After eating they hone their washing up skills.

We hope you have a wonderful weekend!
