This term Students in our sensory department have been exploring the topic 'festival'. This week they have combined this work with the space theme and they had an outdoor 'Moonwalk' festival in the school grounds. Tents, music,food and sensory space activities was enjoyed by all involved!
At Heaton school we endeavour to allow our students to know and understand what is going on in the wider world. This week classes have been taking part in a variety of Coronation based activities in readiness for this coming weekend. Students at the Cheadle Campus having been preparing for a coronation party by writing invitations.
As part of their non fiction topic in English, Kyles class have been practicing writing letters by posting the future king a letter to Buckingham palace. Students handed their letters into the school office to be posted. I wonder if we get a reply?
Stella's group took advantage of the good weather and had their very own Coronation party. Rumour has it that the King himself paid a visit!
Yasmin's and Roisin's class have also had class coronation parties today...
A number of students have come to school in Blue white and red but a special mention must go to Sam for his coronation outfit.
