We hope that everyone had a good half term break. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly students (and staff) settle back into term!

SALT Coffee morning

This week our SALT team (Hayley and Emma) held a coffee morning at the Heaton site for parents/ carers whose son/ daughter use a communication book. Special thanks to those parents who attended and we hope it was useful.

Food Technology

Every student has food technology on their weekly timetable. Food Technology provides an opportunity for students to learn key lifeskills as well as hone and develop their communication, social interaction and independence skills.

Parent Governor

We currently have a parent Governor position open for our School Governing body The role entails attending meetings that are held within the school day, working as part of the Governing body to ensure that the school is moving forward in the right direction through carrying out occasional visits and having communication with staff. We are very interested to talk to parents/ carers who may be interested. Please do not hesitate in speaking to or emailing Jonno to discuss in more detail.
