Heaton news - WB 18th Sept

At the end of last year we gained student and staff input into reevaluating our school values. We did this through conducting a series of staff meetings which enabled staff members to offer thoughts and ideas. Students were also consulted using different communication strategies and means. 

We are pleased to announce that our 4 key values at Heaton school are the following:

We aim to prepare our Students for Adulthood. To do this we want our students to....

1. ENJOY - We want all our students to ENJOY their learning in school

2. CHALLENGE - We want our students to be suitably CHALLENGED and for them to develop a 'can do' attitude to life that prepares them for adulthood

3. CELEBRATE - We aim to CELEBRATE and recognise achievement and success at Heaton school. We CELEBRATE diversity and cultural difference throughout the calendar year. 

4. ACHIEVE - We want all our students to ACHIEVE 'great things'!

Over the course of this year we will be promoting all 4 of these values with our students.
