Heaton News - WB 13th Nov

Date: 17th Nov 2023 @ 3:16pm

At the start of this week students and staff came into school wearing odd socks. This was in recognition of National Anti Bullying week and the odd socks day national initiative. Throughout this week students have been taking part in a variety of different activities (some sock themed and others not!) learning all about Friendship and how we respect each other in school. We are an anti bullying school. Here are some pictures of  sock themed activities in 3HG as well as a piece of art work symbolising togetherness from 3HC.

Wherever possible it is always great for our students to engage in charitable work. Today students helped to raise money for the worthy cause 'children in need'. Students came dressed in non uniform with a PJ or pudsey theme and enjoyed the disco and bake sale.   Throughout the week Students have been busy in their food technology lessons making bakes and cakes for this event. Well done to 3HG for winning the bake off competition!! We couldn't afford to get Mary Berry to judge the entries but Mel did an amazing job! A HUGE thanks to Mel and Tanya for arranging this succesful event.
