This week many of our students have been learning about how to stay safe when using the internet on different devices. Tuesday was Safer Internet Day Students learnt how to keep safe when using a computer and/or other devices during their lessons this week. Part of this work included activities based on a switch accessible story called ‘Cyber Liars’. Cyber Liars looks at how people can tell lies online, and gives tips on keeping safe.
On our school website there are also some resources about online safety, and shortly we will be adding a link how devices can be set up safely – here is the link to this resource: Setting up devices safely
Post 16 - Work experience - As part of our Post 16 careers offer we aim to provide (where appropriate) relevant work experience for our students. Some students from Ernies class have been continuing their collaborative work with Friends of Chorlton Park through planting new bulbs in preparation for spring, mulching flower beds, and keeping pathways clear of litter to maintain and enhance the Friends Garden.

End of term disco - On Friday students at the Heaton site enjoyed the end of term (valentines day themed) disco. Fun was had by all and some classes took the opportunity to explore the theme of friendship and accepting each other for who we are. During the disco Annabella completed a picture to emphasise this point. Thankyou Annabella!
