Heaton News - WB 7th November

Date: 11th Nov 2022 @ 3:53pm

Apologies this week as there seems to be a technical glitch with pictures. I have therefore had to attach all the photos to the images reel.

Firstly, a big thankyou to all parents who came along to parents evening this week. We will be sending out a questionnaire about this over the coming days to get your view on how you felt the evening went for you. We are always keen to make sure that parents views are considered so thankyou in advance for completing this!

This week some great display work was evident for all to see on the firework and Remembrance theme. On the theme of Rememrbrance Students observed the silence at 11am today and Joe's group went on a community visit to the Stockport war memorial . This proved to be an ideal opportunity to help bring to life and develop understanding of the meaning of Remembrance Day.

Throughout the school day we take every opportunity to enable students to develop their social interaction skills. On a daily basis I see positive interaction all the time so this week I set the teachers a challenge to capture some of these great moments. Thanks to Amalia and Kyle for your contirbutions. Learning to socially interact positively is so integral to everything we do at Heaton school.

And finally...

Mel (Family Liaison Worker) has sent out information on classdojo this week about the Christmas crafting sessions that are taking place on November 29th at 10am and November 30th 5-6pm at the Heaton site.

Have a good weekend everyone!!
