Heaton school - WB 10th March

Date: 14th Mar 2025 @ 2:26pm

Accessing the community is a key aspect to our students learning. This week, as part of the “Cultures and Communities” theme the Preformal department visited Didsbury Mosque. The students and staff received a warm welcome and attended a talk about the five pillars of Islam. They had a tour around the Mosque and explored special religious artefacts.

Some of our Post 16/ Cheadle students visited the Whitworth Gallery, Manchester this week.  They explored an exhibition on art and activism in the UK from 1970 to 1990. Students engaged with some of the thought-provoking artworks and, despite the busy environment, they navigated the space confidently, demonstrating excellent behaviour throughout.
