Heaton news - WB 9th March

Date: 13th Mar 2026 @ 8:41am

This term Post 16 students at our Cheadle site have been learning about safety in everyday settings. Roberta from the Fire Department visited to talk to us about fire safety. Students learnt about what to do in the event of a fire, the number to call and what to say etc. At the end of the session, the students had the opportunity to have a question and answer session.

Comic Relief / Red Nose Day - Friday 20th March

On Friday 20th March we are raising money for comic relief. To mark this day we are asking for donations to be sent into school. Your child may come into school wearing something silly or red, however this is optional and we fully accept that some students find the change in dress routine difficult. Classes will be doing different throughout the day on the 'silly for money' theme so we look forward to sharing what classes have been up to next week!

And finally ..A Reflection for Mothers, Parents and Guardians at Heaton School

🌸❤️ At Heaton School, we know that behind every child is a circle of love, care, patience and strength… a garden of support that helps every young person grow…❤️🌸

🌷💗 Today we take a moment to recognise and celebrate all of our mothers, parents and guardians… the people who show up every day with open hearts, quiet courage and endless dedication…💗🌷

🌼❤️ You are the early mornings and the late nights…

the comforting hugs and the encouraging words…

the steady hands, the listening ears and the safe place at the end of every day… ❤️🌼

🌸💗 You champion every small step, every achievement, every breakthrough…

You know the meaning of resilience…

You understand that progress comes in many forms…

and you celebrate it all with love… 💗🌸

🌷❤️ Thank you for the trust you place in us…

for the support you give your children…

and for the care, strength and commitment you show, often without asking for recognition... ❤️🌷

🌼💗 Your role is powerful…

Your love is visible…

and your impact is immeasurable… 💗🌼

🌸❤️ Today, and every day, we celebrate you…

for all that you do…

for all that you are…

and for the difference you make in the lives of the young people we are so proud to support... ❤️🌸

🌷💗 With warmth and appreciation…

Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mothers, parents and guardians in our Heaton School community... 💗🌷
