Heaton news WB 9th June

Welcome back to our final half term of the year everyone!
The International Day of Play, observed annually on June 11th. It highlights how play, in all its forms—from traditional outdoor games to digital interactions—fosters crucial cognitive, physical, creative, social, and emotional skills, enabling children to navigate the world, overcome challenges, and thrive. The International Day of Play is a vital reminder that play is not just fun, but a critical component of a healthy, joyful, and productive childhood. At Heaton School play is seen as an integral part of our pathway curriculum. To mark this day all classes had a particular play focus whilst capitalising on the great weather. Students enjoyed themselves and were challenged to take part in new activities. A huge thanks to Amalia for arranging this.
