Heaton news - WB 9th December

You may recall a few weeks ago that we reported Chelseas visit to the houses of Parliament in London. We can now share the official photographs from this event. Our partnership with Men in sheds has been very effective over the past few years and their nomination for the collaborative space project with Heaton school was much deserved. Being shortlisted for an award was meritted and we are so thankful to them for their input into this (and other) projects. Just to confirm - it is Kyle Richmond in a suit!!
Christmas dinner
Our festivities started with a bang this week as we had our school christmas dinner. Father christmas, his helper and the grinch made an appearance this year! Fun was had by all the students and thanks to Mel and team for making this such a special occasion.
Omni music podcast
Andy (Headteacher) was invited this week as a guest on a education podcast to talk about the schools partnership working with Omni music. Working in collaboration with a Manchester based studio (Reform radio) Andy was able to share some of the fantastic work that is taking place around music and the developments in the curriculum. A link will be sent out to the programme once the full edit has been finalised! It will be shared on spotify and Youtube.
M and M productions
All out students enjoyed a performance of Robin Hood in the School hall this morning. M and M productions presented a 'panto style' performance and it was great to see so many students engaged, watching and listening intently.
