Heaton news - WB 6th May

Following on from the success of last summer's "Space" week at Heaton school you may recall Chelsea the astronaut's journey into space! We decided as a school to submit the film into The Stockport Garrick Short Film Festival. Supported by Men in Sheds (who helped massively with the technical side of the project), here are some photos from the red carpet event the other week.Fame at last! Who knows when Chelsea will next appear??

This term in English for the post 16 cohort at Cheadle Heath they are combining their English lessons with work-related learning and careers,  focusing on the theme of working in a cafe. Students have been practicing setting up their own cafe in the classroom and role-playing the different job roles within a cafe setting, working on work skills such as communication, writing orders, team work and following instructions.

A Parents coffee morning has been planned for 24th May at 10am. The focus is on "Tackling Behaviour". Amanda & Charlotte Hollinshead will be on hand for informal discussions regarding behaviours parents are struggling to manage at home.  Resources will be available & we can personalise them to suit individual needs. All parents are welcome!
