Date: 9th Jan 2026 @ 12:16pm

Welome back everyone to 2026! We hope and trust that everyone had a great christmas break.

It's safe to say we had a cold start to the year! This however has not stopped classes in their tracks. Here are some pictures of Colins class enjoying social interactions in the snowy outdoor areas this week...

Students in Semi Formal classes this week have started their new text within their literacy sessions. I wonder if you can guess which book it is????

Epiphany

Elle’s class have been exploring the story of Epiphany, celebrating the journey of the Magi and the revealing of Jesus to the world. Students enjoyed bringing this journey to life through an immersive sensory story, where they explored the warmth of the desert sand and enjoyed the scent of myrrh during relaxing hand massages. They also got creative, carefully crafting their own camels to join the trek. From the discovery of gold chocolate coins hidden in treasure chests to sandy camels, Elle reported that it has been a joyful and hands-on way to mark the end of the twelve days of Christmas.

Playboxes and plea to families..

We are launching our new play boxes in the coming weeks with support from SALT therapists. These are filled with exciting new toys alongside differentiated communication aids to support play, relationship building, fun and communication in classes across informal, semi-formal and the Cheadle campus. We are however on the look out for any dolls with different clothes and additional accessories, cars/trucks, interactive games and puzzles etc. If any families have anything in their charity shop piles or hiding in the back of cupboards they can send our way that would be very much appreciated! Any questions please get in touch with Holly.
