Heaton news - WB 4th May

The travel training group from Cheadle reached a major milestone last week! They caught the train from Stockport to Manchester Piccadilly for the very first time. The students responded well to the challenge, remained calm and followied all safety rules they had been learning about in class. They clearly enjoyed the excitement of the journey. It was a brilliant success and a huge step toward greater independence for everyone involved!

Post 16 students have also been busy this week visiting Stockport foodbank at Hazel Grove and the wellspring centre for the homeless.  They enjoyed the tour of the sites and delivered some of their handmade cakes as a contribution.

Omni music continue to deliver our music curriculum across the school. Helen's class have been enjoying their sensory experience in using the light buttons as part of their lesson.
