Heaton News - WB 4th Dec
Date: 8th Dec 2023 @ 4:45pm
One of many projects we are involved in this year is the link network with our neighbours St Thomas's. This week St Thomas visited 3YC. Students from the class showed children from the school around and made christmas cards together. We were also treated to a performance from the St Thomas's choir this afternoon which made everyone start to feel really festive!
At Heaton School we strongly believe in the importance of getting our students involved in physical activity as part of their healthy lifestyle. On Wednesday, the Stockport ‘SHAPES’ Alliance gave our students the opportunity to take part in a Kurling competition with two other schools from Stockport Local Authority. The event took part in our school Hall. It was a great event, very busy and full of students very engaged in the activity. Well done to everyone who participated and who helped to make this great experience possible.
Throughout the year students are taking part in a number of themed activities linked to different religious festivals and celebrations. Today students learnt all the traditions and history behind the Jewish festival Hannukah through taking part in a number of different sensory activities within the school drama room.
