Heaton news - WB 3rd March
Date: 7th Mar 2025 @ 4:34pm
World book day is dedicated to recognising the power of books and encouraging children and adults alike to explore the joys of reading. It aims to make books accessible to everyone and foster a lifelong love of reading.
On Thursday students at the Heaton site took part in a wide range of reading activities to mark this day. The school drama room was transformed into a 'reading nook' where students were able to participate in different reading activities from sensory stories using book bags, group reading and individual reading for pleasure. A huge thanks to Beth (reading lead teacher) who organised this event. It was great to see students enjoying reading!
