Wherever possible our students are encouraged to get involved with national and international initiatives.

This week Helen's class have been learning all about the planets in science. Coincidently it was World Earth day this week so they opted to recognise this through exploring the planet vs plastic topic and how we look after our planet. The entrance to school has a great presentation of their work!

In Elle's class they have been recognising Japanese childrens day in Humanities. They have been decorating traditional carp windsocks. They can’t wait to hang them up in Forest school and watch them swim through the air!

Nicola's class have been honing their concentration and focussing skills through taking part in lego therapy this week.

And finally, a huge well done to everyone at Heaton School for helping raise a fantastic £1754.00 for Francis House Children's Hospice in this years Easter Chick Appeal 2024. This was raised through the sale of knitted chicks from the school Reception.
