At the start of this week the school joined together to watch the first England world cup match in the world cup. The hall was set out with an array of different football themed activities. Fun was had by all... and the result wasn't that bad either!!

Over the next few weeks classes will be researching and learning about different countries. A draw took place to decide which country each class was given. In class 4EF they have been learning about Senegal in Cultural Studies. They have decorated flags and made African necklaces with pasta and paint. Next week they will be making African smoothies.

Wherever possible it is always great to be able to latch into community intitiatives. Students from Cheadle have been working hard on their contribution to this years Christmas tree festival at St George's church in Stockport. If you would like to go and see their amazing work details of times etc can be seen at http://www.stgeorgestockport.org.uk/christmas-tree-festival/

Christmas can always be exciting but (for many of our families) somewhat of a challenge too. Please find attached a useful 'Christmas sensory survival kit' that gives some really useful tips to parents and carers for things to consider in the build up during this festive season. If you prefer a paper copy please contact Mel and she will print one off and send home.

Have a great weekend everyone!
