Heaton news - WB 20th May
Date: 24th May 2024 @ 4:47pm
At Heaton we are all about enabling our students to enjoy learning, be challenged and to celebrate achievement. This week students have been enjoying exploring the theme 'journey' in our annual arts week. Students took part in a wide range of arts activities within different lessons and it was so great to see students challenging themselves in buidling confidence, sharing, turn taking and performing whilst also honing their artistic skills. Highlights have included students performing at the Omni music cafe, being creative designing footprints, performing a circus act, journeying around the forest school area and taking part in a buddhism themed session around the travels of Vasaak. A HUGE thanks to Lucy (our Performing arts lead) who has coordinated this successful event.
Also this week, Cheadle students practiced their hosting and cafe skills when welcoming some of their parents to the Cheadle campus Cafe. 'Cheadle Campus Cafe' kicked into action with students choosing jobs from roles such as barista, waiter, cleaning manager and so on. Everyone worked extremely hard with great feedback from parents and students are looking forward to hosting their next one after the holidays.
PTA news - A huge thanks to everyone who came to support the fashion show on wednesday evening. As a result of everyone's efforts they raised approximately £600!!
And Finally ...
We hope and trust everyone has a great half term break. We look forward to welcoming all our students back on Monday 10th June.
