Heaton News - WB 20th June

Date: 23rd Jun 2022 @ 6:05pm

We've certainly benefited from the great weather this week!

Holly's class have been honing their independence skills through going to Morrison's to buy ice lollies.  Excellent waiting, finding of items and using money at the tills.

On Tuesday, 16 school athletes went to compete in an athletics event against other special schools in the area. Everyone did themselves and the school proud. They completed in the 100m and 600m run, long jump and javelin activities.  The real winner of the day was friendship and taking part. Well done to all the KS3 athletes, however a special mention to Lily Mae and Nathalie who won medals for being the best participants.

Parents progress update meetings

It's not too late to book a parents progress update meeting for next week. The days for each of the classes are the following:

Tuesday - P1- P3

Wednesday - L7 -L10

Thursday - L1 - L6

Brydie's group - Within Rebound sessions they have been following a festival theme in preparation for our leavers prom. Students have been working on stability, strength and physio targets. These sessions are also the perfect opportunity for students to experience and explore intensive interaction with some 1:1 time with staff.
