Heaton news - WB 1st December
Date: 5th Dec 2025 @ 12:55pm
This week Helen's class delivered over 350 selection boxes to the CAFT Farm in support of their selection box appeal. A huge thanks to Wendy McGovern (a Grandparent of one of our students) who coordinated this collection to support CAFT Farm through Nuffield Gym. Well done as well to our Semi formal students who went to Nuffield Gym in Parswood to collect the boxes. This opportunity gave all students involved a chance to experience different work settings within the community.

Angies class are pleased to announce that their christmas tree design is on exhibition at the Christmas tree festival at st. Paul’s church in Heaton moor. See attached flyer for dates and times when the church will be open in the coming works to see their work.

And finally ...
In PSHE this week Hollys class have been engaging in our body awareness session, focussing on interoception and trying to identify how our body feels. they had a competition to pull off ten pegs attached as quick as they could. This was followed by an activity that involved choosing a drink, cold, hot or fizzy and communicated what that was like after drinking it.
