Heaton News - WB 18th July
Date: 22nd Jul 2022 @ 4:34pm
What a busy week we've had so lots to report on what will be the last news blog of this academic year!
Firstly, the hot start to the week meant that classes had to adapt to the dramatic change in temperature. As ever students showed their adaptability and resilience with the change. Great effort from all!
Many groups have also been enjoying their end of year outings. Kyle's group enjoyed their trip to Knowsley Safari park on Wednesday where they saw lots of different animals and took part in different activities.
It's always a fun time of the year but it's also that time of the year where we say sadly have to say goodbye to our leavers. Today we were able to gather in the Hall for the first time in 2 years for our Leavers assembly. We said goodbye in true 'Heaton style'! We will miss all our leavers but are pleased to say that all are going on to further education at excellent places that will further develop their Independence, communication and life skills. A special thanks to all parents and carers for their support over the past few years - we truly value you all!
And finally a quick reminder that Monday 25th July is our last day of term. Have a wonderful summer! We look forward to seeing everyone return for the new academic year on 5th September 2022.
