Comic Relief 2026
Students enjoyed raising money for Comic relief today. Some students came to school in non uniform and entered into the 'funny for money' theme within their classes. At the Heaton site students took part in a comic relief disco/ sing along in the morning and students had access to the drama room where they could dress up and tell some jokes in the afternoon. We look forward to sharing how much money we have raised in next weeks blog!
Residential
On Wednesday 11th - 13th March students and staff from both Elle and Kyles class enjoyed a 2 night residential at at the Childrens Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT) in Altrincham. This was a huge success and students were able to gain experiences and memories that will be life changing. A huge thanks to Elle for all her hard work in making this happen. We look forward to planning similar opportunities for other students in the future.

World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) is observed annually on March 21st to raise awareness, advocate for rights, and celebrate the lives of people with Down syndrome. The date signifies the triplication of the 21st chromosome, which causes the condition. People celebrate by wearing brightly colored "odd socks" to start conversations and promote inclusion.
