It goes without saying that christmas is always a fun packed and busy time at Heaton school!
On Tuesday, parents, carers and invited guests were treated to the school performance of Elf where all of our students performed the story of Buddie and his adventures. Thanks to everyone who attended this special occasion and well done to all the students who took part and for all the staff that made this happen.
On Wednesday we had our first ever christingle service. A time where parents/carers were invited to come into school to make christingles was followed by a service recognising the christian significance of christmas. Special thanks to Rev Liz Rowles from St Pauls CE church (Heaton Moor) who led this event.
On Thursday students from the Heaton site enjoyed the end of term disco in the school hall followed by a festive singalong assembly at the end of the day.

And Finally...
Thanks to Caroline Collier (staff member and parent) who has written a poem to sign off our year...
As Christmas approaches and the year draws near..
We reflect with pride and send our cheer…
At Heaton School, each day we see..
Students striving to be the best they can be…
With Achieve, Challenge, Celebrate, Enjoy..
We nurture each talent, each spark, each joy…
Our students inspire with all they achieve,
Showing strength, determination, and the will to believe…
To parents, carers, and guardians so dear,
We thank you for your unwavering care…
Your support and love shine through every day,
Helping our students grow in every way…
From Headteacher Andy, our staff, and the team,
We work together to build each dream…
Teachers, support staff, and every role,
Give their all to nurture each soul…
So as Christmas lights twinkle and glow,
We send you our wishes wrapped in love to show..
Peace, joy, and hope for the year ahead..
And gratitude for the paths you’ve led…
Merry Christmas from Heaton School to you,
May your holidays be bright and your dreams come true!
We hope that everyone has a happy and joyful christmas. We thank everyone for their ongoing support in 2024 and we look forward to continuing working with you in 2025 and greeting our students back on Monday 6th January.
