Heaton news - WB 15th April

Welcome to the summer term everyone! The start of term is always an opportunity to start new topics and experience new challenges in the curriculum...

As part of their community programme 5EF visited Didsbury Park. They explored the woodland area and enjoyed practicing their money handling and communication skills in the Cafe.

5CH have started their Athletics theme in PE. Working alongside Eduardo (our Manchester City coach) they will be having a go at a variety of different athletics events over the coming term.

Students from 4SI, 4KR and 3YO have started their performance module in music this week. This half term theme is 'Circus'.

Students from SBC enjoyed the signs of spring in Forest School....

And finally 4SI have been exploring the art form of collage in their art lesson...

Update on Headteacher recruitment - A few weeks ago school announced that Jonathan Curtis will be leaving Heaton school at the end of this term. We wanted to assure parents/ carers that the recruitment process to find a replacement is well under way and Governors are aiming to conclude the recruitment process by the end of April.
