Heaton news - WB 13th January

Firstly, a huge thankyou to all families of students who attend school at the Heaton site. The hot water situation was very frustrating (to say the least) and we all know and appreciate that it had a huge impact on families in relation to work arrangements and child care etc. Assurances can be made to all concerned that this situation has been resolved and it has been great to get all the students back into school this week.
Students have responded really well to returning to their school structures and routines this week...
Elle’s class have continued to enjoy learning through sensory play...
A key aspect to our curriculum is accessing the community. As part of their Wellbeing programme Cheadle students access the Life leisure gym at Avondale. Students are learning a variety of different life skills through attending these sessions. This week all the students demomstrated curiosity and determination as they tried out different workout machines and confidently engaged within the new environment.

Colins class have continued their work related learning activities within school. As well as continuing the important job of checking and re-filling the first aid boxes on a weekly basis, they have also begun checking the food technology cupboard and making sure it is kept organised and tidy.
