Heaton news - WB 12th September

Date: 12th Sep 2025 @ 4:32pm

Welcome back everyone! A warm and special welcome to all our new parents and carers, as well as our returning parents/carers from last year.

This blog is a way of communicating some school news to parents/ carers and staff whilst also giving you an insight into some of the amazing learning / activities that have been taking place in school. Throughout the year we will also share news on special events, school activities and special occasions, whilst also disseminating key information as and when required.

Start as we mean to go on!

It's safe to say that all our students from year 7-14 have settled extremely well into the new school year. Our Semi formal students within the Heaton site are now accessing our larger classroom spaces with additional / specific outdoor access. This work took place during the summer holidays. We have also created new outdoor learning areas for our informal students.

Here are a few pictures from the first few days of term...

Welcome to our new coach...

This year we will be having a Manchester City coach coming in from City in the Community to work with our staff to deliver Physical health/ PE lessons for some of our Semi formal and informal students. We welcome John who comes with a wide range of experience working within different settings across Stockport and Greater Manchester. John is really enthusiastic and believes that everyday is a learning day. He is looking forward to working with the children at Heaton and he is passionate about inclusion and giving every child an opportunity to take part in Physical activity.
