Heaton news - WB 10th Nov

Date: 14th Nov 2025 @ 2:03pm

On Tuesday we marked Remembrance day through observing the 2 minute silence/ reflection. All classes were prepared in their understanding of the significance of this day and used relevant video and visual illustrations to help their understanding. Also, to mark this national event some of our students represented the school at the Stockport War Memorial remembrance ceremony at 11am. Students (with the help of staff) laid a wreath which was made by students within lessons during the previous week. A huge thanks to Elle for making this happen and well done to all students who took part.

Today we have enjoyed raising money for children in need. Fun was had by all! Classes were tasked to come up with a challenge around the '25 theme' of this year. Challenges varied from 25 keepy uppys using a balloon, 25 drumming sessions, dancing for 25 minutes, knocking down 25 skittles and baking 25 biscuits! It was great to see so many students and staff enter into the spirit of charity and wearing non uniform and yellow! We look forward to sharing with you the final total we raised!
