Hours: Vacancy 1 :16 hours per week, 3 hours,15mins per day Monday-Thursday (5.45am – 9.00am), Friday 3hrs, 6.00am-09.00am
Hours: Vacancy 2 :16 hours per week, 3 hours,15mins per day Monday-Thursday 2.45pm – 6.00pm, Friday 3 hrs, 3.00pm -6.00pm
Salary : Scale 1 point 1-3, FTE £20,258- £20,812 pro rata is £8,760- £8,999
Contract: Permanent, full year
Start date: ASAP
A Cleaner is required to work at Heaton School - Stockport’s Secondary Special School for young people with Severe Learning Difficulties, Profound and Multiple learning difficulties, Autism and Complex Medical Needs. There are two vacancies, different hours.
Our school is well established in the local area of Heaton Moor and is a very strong community of children and young people, families, staff and partners.
We are committed to providing high quality inclusive education for all our young people within a caring, creative and dynamic environment.
Our students are aged 11 – 19 and there are 97 pupils on roll and we have a Post 16 department for pupils aged 16–19 years.
The post entails
- General cleaning of the interior of the school building
- Cleaning toilets, sinks, classrooms, corridors etc.
This post will be subject to staff achieving enhanced DBS clearance and a there is a rigorous safeguarding policy at the school. Applications should be returned to the Head Teacher preferably by email on headteacher@heaton.stockport.sch.uk

Full Time and Casual Teaching assistants
Are you interested in working as a Casual SEN Teaching Assistant or a Mid-day Assistant?
We wish to appoint a number of supply staff who are:
- Child-centred in their approach
- Sensitive and patient in their dealings with children who have significant special needs and who may, at times, present challenging behaviour
- Knowledgeable about, or interested in, working with children who have autism and or profound and complex learning and physical difficulties
- Flexible, versatile and enthusiastic
Prior experience is not essential. We are looking for people with a genuine interest and positive approach. Ongoing training is provided within school for all staff.
Heaton School is an Outstanding Special School for children aged 11-19 who have severe or profound learning disabilities. You will be working alongside a dedicated and supportive team of staff.
